About the Fred Ohrt Water Museum
Announcements
Due to ongoing renovations, the Fred Ohrt Water Museum tours are suspended until further notice.

About the Museum
When available, scheduled tour groups visit the water museum – named in honor of Fred Ohrt, the first Manager and Chief Engineer for the Board of Water Supply. Tour includes an introduction to Oʻahu's water cycle, discussion on water conservation, and a walking tour of the museum showcasing "The Old Man of Kalihi," the original 1899 steam pump, and the history of the BWS.
The museum had been closed to the public for an extended period while the Kalihi Pumping Station and site underwent extensive restoration and renovation work.
